Lectionary Resources

One of the best ways to get more from Sunday mass is prepare yourself by reading and reflecting on the mass readings before you attend mass.   You may want to begin on the Wednesday before.  Slowly read the passages, especially the Gospel.  Take time to reflect on the main idea of the passage.  What word or phrase stands out to you? Who are the people involved in the readings? What is God’s word saying to you and what difference could it make in your life?

Here are some resources to help you.

Daily Mass Readings -Text of the daily readings from the New American Bible

Sunday Lectionary Resources - Word-Sunday is a great lectionary resource for Catholics

The Sunday website at St. Louis University - A great site to enliven and deepen your experience of the Mass.

Daily Reflections from Creighton University - Faculty, staff and administrators reflect on the daily readings
