September  Reflection  
for Confirmation Youth and Sponsor 


During this second year of preparation for Confirmation, we invite you to take a deeper look at our faith.   As you and your sponsor journey together, every month we invite you to spend time together considering a  teaching of the Catholic Church.  
Together, follow the steps below.  You and your sponsor can talk in person, by phone or on skype about the video, reading and questions.  Discuss your thought together and then record them below.

1.  Begin with prayer.  Quiet yourself and read the prayer below.  Think about what it means to you:
Father of love and power, it is your will to establish everything in Christ
and to draw us into his all-embracing love.
Guide us as we begin this preparation for Confirmation.
Strengthen us in our baptismal promises,
build us into the kingdom of your Son,
and seal us with the Spirit of your love.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
